Branding Portfolio: Ready to Work

My Primary Roles: Creative Director, Lead Designer, Photographer, Videographer

Worked in collaboration with: Account Team, UX Designer/Programmer, Print Production Artist

Brand Assets Created: Logo, tagline, infographics, flyers, posters, website, social media, videos, photography

Logo & Tagline

After winning the business, the first item on this list was to dig into creating the brand. Several collaborative meetings and numerous design directions later, I landed on a logo that both the team and the client loved. Anyone who has worked on city or government projects that require a board of directors (and a few subcommittees) knows what it’s like getting so many people on board. Notable, this is the last brand I created before leaving the company I started several years prior. I created this logo to convey the same energy and aspiration as the initiative.

Brand Standards

Before my official departure from my company, I wrapped up the brand standards and had already completed a few pieces of collateral for my successor to run with. Visuals relied heavily on stock photography to show diversity, culture as well as a variety of roles and industries.

Process Infographic

One of my last projects was this one-page infographic showing a potential enrollee what the process looks like after applying to Ready to Work.

Participant Portraits

Perhaps the most rewarding work for this brand was getting to meet some of the students/enrollees. I took a day and captured some portraits, recorded their stories on video and the resulting assets were used in marketing materials.
