Give the gift of your legacy.

Tell your story for future generations.

“The youngest child in the photo above is my dad, who my kids never got to meet. Holding him is my great-grandfather, who I never got to meet. We will never be able to have a film of them telling their stories about their lives, but your grandchildren and great grandchildren could. Oh what a gift that would be!”

— Trish Rawls

Why create a legacy film?

Imagine being able to sit and watch a film of your great, great grandparents telling you what it was like growing up in a completely different century. Imagine listening to precious stories about their childhood, life lessons, hardships, courtship and marriage, business legacies and general family history. Imagine hearing their voices, watching them laugh, and taking note of their (possibly familiar) mannerisms. Most of us don’t have these opportunities, but your great-great grandchildren can, through a Team Rawls Legacy Film.

What To Expect

Step 1: Package & Details

During an initial phone conversation with the client, (whoever is making the arrangements), we will gather information and decide what package you need based on your specific storytelling desires. We will also schedule a 30-minute, pre-shoot visit with the subject(s).

Step 2: Pre-Shoot Visit

We will visit the interviewee at the filming location, preferably a home environment, so they get to know us a little before the day of the shoot. We will explain what to expect, scout for lighting and leave a list of questions and topics that will be covered.

Step 3: Shoot Day

Depending on the package, we will be at the location for 2-4+ hours, with professional lighting and film gear. We will make the interviewee feel relaxed and comfortable. We remind them that this is not LIVE and there is no rush. They set the pace.

Step 4: Editing & Delivery

We will spend the next 3-4 weeks editing the video(s) and will provide a draft for review. We allow for one round of reasonable revisions and provide a final video on DVD and thumb drive in a custom keepsake box

“The quality of work that Steve and Trish did to help capture our parents’ family history was incredible. They made it fun for our parents and we each learned things that we had no idea of from their past. What a cool thing to be able to leave to children that will never have the opportunity to physically meet them but will be able to see them and hear their voices tell the history that got us to where we are today.”
